Ian Runeckles recalls: | ||||||||
I'm pretty
sure these gigs were cancelled. I remember queueing for tickets in what
must have been probably December 73 - the queue went around the Rainbow
and almost met itself. I waited in the gently falling snow until I was
within about 10 people of the box office at around 2pm when they closed
it as they'd sold out. Someone near me suggested going to one of the concert
ticket agencies -I went then to Keith Prowse in, I think, Shaftesbury
Avenue and asked if they had any - the reply was "How many would
you like?"! Wish I'd gone there first... |

Graham Reed, who attended the first night recalls: "Unfortunately this show was slightly disappointing compered to the show the year previous which was recorded for the live album. This saw Jan Akkerman playing the lute, solo, for an encore in the days when the audience knew how to keep quite and just listen- it was beautiful- you could have heard a pin drop. Unfortunately this did not appear on the live album which I gather was only recorded the second night." | ![]() |
